An engineered approach to offshore wind turbine boat landing protection

WINDSHIELD is a modular solution that can be retro-fitted to existing Offshore Wind Turbine Boat Landings to provide protection against Impact and Corrosion damage sustained during maintenance operations. It is designed to be virtually maintenance free and have a lifespan in excess of the Wind Turbine it is fitted to. It is manufactured from a high performance Polymer with a proven track record in hostile offshore environments.

COMPRESSIBLE ENERGY ABSORBING STRUCTURE

To help absorb shock loadings from accidental impacts and reduce the likelihood of damage to both the boat landing structure and CTV.

PROVIDES PROTECTION AGAINST WEAR AND ABRASION OF THE BOAT LANDING TUBES

Reducing corrosion, the frequency of maintenance visits and it’s associated costs.

AN INCREASE IN CONTACT AREA AND SURFACE GRIP

Will extend the operational window of ctvs in marginal conditions, increasing the number of potential access days.

FOR A RETRO-FIT INSTALLATION

In the unlikely event a section was damaged, it can be removed and replaced with a new section.
